How to create an Atlassian cloud site
Pick a Jira plan on Atlassian's pricing page, sign in or sign up, name your site and finish the setup questions. About 5 minutes. Your site address is yourname.atlassian.net.
Before you start
An email address. Choose Standard or above if you want Rovo, Atlassian's AI.
-
1
Choose a plan
On the Jira pricing page, click Try it free under the plan you want. Free has no Rovo; Standard and above include it.
-
2
Sign in or sign up
Sign in with an existing Atlassian account or create one with your email address.
-
3
Name your site
Type your company or team name. It becomes your site address, for example yourteam.atlassian.net, and you cannot change it later without a migration.
-
4
Answer the setup questions or skip them
Jira asks about your team and how you work, and offers to invite teammates. You can skip these and do them later.
-
5
Pick a template
Choose a project template such as Scrum or Kanban. Jira creates your first project and opens it.
If it does not work
The site name you want is taken. Site names are unique across all of Atlassian. Add your city or a short suffix.
You already have a site and want a second one. Sign in, then start the trial again from the pricing page. Atlassian asks which site to use; choose to create a new one.
