Pinafly is a client review and sign-off tool that freezes your web pages so the whole client team can comment on them and one person can approve the result, built for freelancers and small studios.
You send one link. Your client's team comments on the actual pages, each of them answers, and the review ends with a signed list of what was decided.
What Pinafly does
Freezes the pages you want reviewed
Click the Pinafly icon in Chrome and the page is copied exactly as it is on your screen, then hosted by Pinafly. The copy stays the same while you keep building, so feedback from Monday still makes sense on Friday. Several pages frozen into one flow become a single review.
Collects comments from everyone on the client side
Reviewers click anything on the page to leave a numbered comment, reply to each other, and agree with a comment instead of writing "+1". They need no account and install nothing. You see who has opened the review, who has answered, and what each person said, page by page.
Turns the comments into decisions with a sign-off
When comments disagree, you write the choice up as a decision with its options. One reviewer you name as having final say answers every decision and signs the list. The review's summary keeps the signed record, with who proposed each option and when it was signed.
Runs the review for you
Set a due date and Pinafly reminds anyone who hasn't answered the day before, then closes the review on the day if you ask it to. Approvers who haven't signed get one reminder after a week. You spend less time chasing replies across email and Slack.
Live review of your own app
One script tag on a site you run, usually staging. The people you invite use the real app and comment as they go, and each comment saves the screen they were looking at. Nobody else sees Pinafly there. Free has unlimited live reviews and comments and saves 50 screens a month; paid plans have no limit.
What makes Pinafly different
Reviewers comment on a kept copy of the page
Pastel and Filestage load the live site for each review, so once the site is updated, the version people commented on is gone. Pinafly hosts a frozen copy of every page, and it stays exactly as it was for as long as the review needs it.
Staging and logged-in pages work without sharing a password
The freeze happens in your own Chrome, so a password-protected staging site or a signed-in dashboard comes through the same as a public page. Tools that load the page through a proxy have to log in themselves, and reviewers of those tools regularly report that password-protected staging doesn't render.
Every review ends in a signed decision
BugHerd and Marker.io treat feedback as a list of tasks to close. Pinafly adds the step after the comments: disagreements become decisions, one named person has final say, and their signature and the time go on the record.
Reviewers never sign up, on any plan
Unlimited reviewers is part of the free plan, and none of them need an account. Volley asks guests to sign up before they can comment.
Flat prices and a free plan that stays
Pro and Team are flat monthly prices for up to 3 and 10 people, where ruttl and ReviewStudio charge per user. Markup.io dropped its free plan in February 2025. Pinafly's free plan covers 50 saved screens a month with no card.
Who uses Pinafly
- Freelance web designers and developers whose clients have more than one person with an opinion
- Small web design studios and agencies running client review rounds on new sites and redesigns
- Former Markup.io users who want a free plan and a kept copy of every page
- Product and marketing teams reviewing a web app, a landing page or a checkout flow before launch
The team behind Pinafly
Pinafly is built by Vlad Mehakovic, a Sydney-based founder who also builds mbuzz, a server-side marketing attribution platform. He started Pinafly in June 2026 to fix the part of a website project where a client's feedback arrives as screenshots, emails and Slack messages that nobody can line up against the page.
Pinafly is a product of Forebrite Pty Ltd (ABN 64 671 038 958), an Australian software company. It is one person, bootstrapped, and the person who answers your email is the person who builds the product.
How Pinafly works
- Install the free Chrome extension and connect it to your account. Freezing a page takes a few seconds.
- Send the review from the flow's Share menu to up to 50 email addresses at a time. Each reviewer gets one email with a Start reviewing button.
- Self-serve from start to finish: no sales call, no onboarding call, and no contract to sign.
- Help lives in the help centre. For anything else, email hello@pinafly.com.

Frequently asked questions
Do my clients need an account to review?
No. The people you invite open your link and start commenting, with nothing to install and no password. Their comments carry their name.
What happens to the comments when I change the site?
Nothing moves. Reviewers comment on the page as you froze it, so every comment keeps pointing at what they meant, whatever you ship afterwards.
Can Pinafly review a staging site or a page behind a login?
Yes. The Chrome extension freezes the page in your own browser, so anything you can see, you can send. Cookies and login tokens found in the page are removed before it is saved.
Is anything I capture public?
No. Every page is private to the people you invite or the people holding the link, depending on the setting you choose. No page is ever listed in search engines.
How much does Pinafly cost?
Free covers 50 saved screens a month with unlimited reviewers and no card. Pro is $17.50 USD a month ($14 a month when paid yearly) for up to 3 people, and Team is $35 USD a month ($28 paid yearly) for up to 10. Both paid plans can be billed monthly or yearly and cancelled at any time.
Does Pinafly record video of the page?
No. Video and audio are never captured on any plan. A frozen page keeps the layout, text, styles and images, with images resized and compressed.
