Before you start

Projects must be switched on for your site.

  1. 1

    Open Atlassian Home

Go to home.atlassian.com and pick your site.

  2. 2

    Click Create, then Project

Click the Create button at the top of the screen and choose Project.

  3. 3

Name the project and set the owner

Type a name for the work, not the outcome (the outcome belongs to the goal). You are the owner by default.

  4. 4

Set a target date and click Create

Pick a target date and click Create. The project page opens.

  5. 5

    Link it to a goal

On the project page, add the goal this project contributes to. Its progress now shows on that goal.

  6. 6

    Connect Jira work

Link a Jira work item or epic to the project so its status shows next to the project's updates.

If it does not work

There is no Project option under Create. Projects is switched off for your site. An organisation or site admin turns it on in Atlassian Administration.

You cannot find the project from inside Jira. In Jira, open the work item and look for the Atlassian Project field, then pick the project.
